I came to Central America as a church volunteer thirty years ago. I never made a concience decision to stay, but there was always something interesting enough to keep me around. I am involved in business and education and am working on ways to bring both to play in achieving our full and integrated development as a people.
Home is Perquín, Morazán in northeast El Salvador. A major theatre of the Salvadoran Civil War which took place from 1981 to 1992, the area maintains the highest poverty levels and the lowest educational levels in the country.
In this blog, I will be commenting on some of the absurdities encountered in my current world, some of the progress we seem to be making, little bits and pieces we are constructing here in order to advance and try to keep things in perspective.
